A Mexican judge is expected to issue a ruling on Thursday in a high-profile murder case involving three defendants accused of killing two Australian surfers and their American companion in 2024.
The victims were identified as brothers Jake Robinson, 30, and Callum Robinson, 33, along with their friend Carter Rhoad, 30. The trio were on a surfing vacation along Mexico’s Pacific coastline when they were shot dead in the state of Baja California in what authorities allege was a robbery.
Before the verdict is handed down, Martin and Debra Robinson, the parents of the two Australian brothers, will address the court.
Please respect the victims’ privacy. The family deserves peace during this agonizing wait.

Does the verdict hold any weight if the robbery motive remains unclear? Details matter.
Heartbreaking. Three young lives taken on a simple surf trip. Hope for justice.
