Christopher Wood, an analyst at Jefferies, has characterized the bond market landscape for Group of Seven nations as having entered a prolonged downturn. According to Wood, this structural bear market for G7 bonds began in March 2020.
The assessment highlights growing concerns over the deteriorating debt positions in the U.S. and other major developed economies, prompting investors to seek alternatives to traditional fixed-income assets.
