In Paris, demonstrations by high-school and university students over learning conditions persisted, occasionally escalating into violence. On October 6, Saint-Denis Mayor Bally Bagayoko was seen standing between protesters and police officers during a rally. By October 9, students were photographed near the Sophie-Germain high school, walking past graffiti that declared, “the class struggle begins in high school,” highlighting the ongoing nationwide protest movement.
