In a notable shift during the persistent global component shortage, Framework has announced price reductions on RAM for select Laptop 13 Pro customers. This move comes after the company increased memory costs in July, prompting a reevaluation of pricing strategy.
Framework stated that it secured a limited inventory of Micron 32GB and 64GB LPCAMM2 memory modules at a reduced cost. The company plans to pass these savings on to consumers by rolling out price adjustments for both units that have already been shipped and a subset of pending pre-orders.
While the updated prices remain higher than the original costs, the company emphasized its commitment to maintaining accessibility in the current market environment. This rare positive development highlights efforts to mitigate price volatility for hardware buyers.
