Former South Park writer Toby Morton has launched a dedicated website, TheCornell7.org, aimed at documenting the sexual assault case involving a former Cornell University student and seven male alumni. The site was created in response to reports that none of the seven men accused of raping and drugging the woman at a fraternity party in October 2024 faced criminal legal consequences.
Morton stated on the platform that he is meticulously gathering names, photographs, documents, and messages related to the incident to ensure accuracy before publication. He described his objective as building a verifiable record that incorporates the victim’s account, civil litigation, public records, and institutional responses, emphasizing that the process will be time-consuming but rigorous to ensure accountability.
The disclosure effort follows a lawsuit filed two weeks ago by the student, identified in legal filings as Jane Doe, against the university. The complaint alleges that Cornell failed to protect her from the alleged assault and that some of the accused individuals were permitted to submit written essays to mitigate their disciplinary sanctions. Prior to the lawsuit, the university’s internal investigation resulted in two men being expelled, while the remaining five received lesser penalties.
In a separate statement shared on Instagram, Morton noted that although he is not a journalist, his lack of professional boundaries makes him more dangerous to those seeking to suppress information. The case has also drawn attention from actress Florence Pugh, who posted a statement on social media describing the incident as a horrific act and expressing her concern over the outcome.
