A Sydney courtroom heard on Monday that former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon asserts he acted in self-defence when he fatally shot two men at a Paddington residence in February 2024. The 31-year-old also testified that his subsequent efforts to clean the crime scene were driven by understandable panic.
Lamarre-Condon is facing charges for the deaths of 26-year-old Jesse Baird and his partner, 29-year-old Luke Davies. Prosecutors allege he used a police service weapon to kill both victims at Baird’s home on February 19, 2024. The defendant has entered pleas of not guilty to the double murder accusations.
