Former Birmingham City forward Jordan Graham has been admitted to the hospital following a severe road traffic accident, BBC Sport understands.
The 31-year-old was involved in the incident earlier this month and is currently undergoing specialist medical care, according to a statement released by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) on behalf of his family.
Graham began his professional career at Aston Villa before making 17 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers. His career also included loan spells at Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United, and Fulham. He joined Birmingham City from Gillingham in 2021, where he made 49 Championship appearances over two seasons before departing in 2023.
After stints at Leyton Orient and other clubs, Graham has not played competitively since leaving Orient in 2025, bringing his total career appearances to 188.
In its statement, the PFA expressed gratitude for the medical attention Graham is receiving and requested privacy for the player and his family during this critical time.
“His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving,” the statement read. “They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery.”
Support has poured in from Graham’s former clubs. Gillingham issued a message wishing him a full and swift recovery, while Leyton Orient offered their solidarity with the short note: “We’re all with you JG.”
