Fiona Hepler Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of actor Chad Lowe and his wife Kim Painter, has died. The family confirmed the news to People magazine on Tuesday.
In a statement shared with the outlet, the Lowes expressed their grief: “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.” They described her as a smart, creative girl who loved to dance and was adored by her older and younger sisters.
“She was the light of our lives,” the family wrote. “Her passing is devastating for our entire family, and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.” The statement concluded with a reminder about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for anyone struggling with mental health.
Fiona was born on November 16, 2012. She had two siblings: elder sister Mabel Painter, now 17, and younger sister Nixie Barbara, who is 10. Her middle name, Hepler, honors Chad Lowe’s late mother and is also the middle name of his brother, actor Rob Lowe. The couple married in 2019.
Chad Lowe is known for his Emmy-winning role as Jesse McKenna on the television series “Life Goes On,” as well as appearances in “Pretty Little Liars” and “Supergirl.” Rob Lowe rose to fame in films such as “The Outsiders” and “St. Elmo’s Fire” and later starred in “Parks and Recreation.” Fiona is survived by her father, mother, and sisters.
