Doctor who treated UK royals found dead; husband arrested for murder

Authorities have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after Sir Peter Cain, the physician who provided care to members of the British Royal Family, was discovered deceased at his residence.

Police confirmed that Sir Peter, 64, was found dead at his London home. Emergency responders were dispatched to the location on Wednesday evening but could not revive him. A post-mortem examination subsequently determined that the cause of death was a blunt force injury to the right side of his head.

The Metropolitan Police stated that a man, identified as Sir Peter’s husband, was taken into custody on suspicion of murder. Investigators are currently working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death, which is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

Sir Peter served as the Senior Consulting Physician to King Charles III and was a close associate of the late Queen Elizabeth II. He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2016 for his services to medicine. In addition to his royal duties, he held roles as the Senior Physician at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and served as the Medical Director for the NHS in London.

  1. I’m honestly shocked by this. The details about blunt force trauma are quite disturbing for a high-profile doctor.

  2. Wait, if the husband was arrested for murder, why isn’t the police treating this as suspicious? The statements seem contradictory.

  3. This is absolutely devastating news. Sir Peter was a remarkable man who served with such dedication to the nation.
