CBS continues to schedule its long-running investigative series “48 Hours” on Saturday nights as it approaches the premiere of its 39th season on Oct. 10, 2026. The program, which examines true-crime cases with in-depth reporting, remains available for live viewing at 10 p.m. Eastern/9 p.m. Central, as well as via streaming on Paramount+, Pluto TV, YouTube, and Netflix. Additional coverage is provided on CBS News 24/7 from 4 to 10 p.m. ET on Saturdays.
The broadcast schedule has featured a mix of original episodes and encores throughout the spring and summer. Several programs were temporarily delayed or preempted to accommodate CBS sports coverage, including WNBA games, UFC 327, and the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. On July 4, the show did not air due to holiday programming on the network.
Original broadcasts aired from early April through mid-May, covering high-profile investigations such as the 1985 arson death of a billionaire in Monaco and the subsequent attempts by Ted Maher to reinvent himself, as reported by Erin Moriarty. Other new entries included “Beverly Hills 911,” where detectives examined the death of a wealthy widow found below a staircase, and “The Love Bombing of Gloria Choi,” which explored a romance that ended in murder.
Recent programming also included the story of Kouri Richins, a Utah mother convicted of plotting her husband’s death, and an encore of “Deputy Spivey on Trial,” featuring a TV bailiff accused of killing his wife. Earlier episodes addressed unsolved cases such as the disappearance of Iowa teenager Jade Colvin, the death of New York teen Theresa Fusco, and the mysterious fate of Beverly Hills widow Angela Prichard.
Listeners can access the network’s audio content through podcasts including “48 Hours,” “Post Mortem,” and “Case by Case.” Full episodes are also available 24/7 on The “48 Hours” FAST Channel, an advertiser-supported streaming service accessible on CBSNews.com and various partner platforms.
