Boox has unveiled the Note Air 6C, an updated iteration of its popular E Ink tablet lineup that addresses one of the format’s most persistent limitations: speed. The new device, available now, offers significant performance upgrades while maintaining the familiar 10.3-inch form factor.
At the core of the improvements is an upgraded processor capable of reaching speeds up to 2.9GHz. According to Boox, this represents a 45 percent increase over the Note Air 5C, which directly translates to a 40 percent boost in PDF page-turning speed. The manufacturer has also revamped the refresh mode, claiming the changes make scrolling, web browsing, and apps with dynamic content feel considerably more fluid on the E Ink display.
On the software front, the Note Air 6C runs Android 16, a step up from the Android 15 operating system on its predecessor. It also retains full access to the Google Play Store. The tablet features a 10.3-inch screen that renders black-and-white content at 300 PPI and color content at 150 PPI. Additional hardware includes a four-microphone array for voice recording, a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, dual speakers, and an adjustable front light.
Memory remains unchanged at 6GB of RAM, matching the previous generation. This retention is notable given current market pressures on RAM pricing. Storage is provided via 64GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot, with the inclusion of the Pen3 stylus that requires no charging or pairing.
Pricing for the new tablet starts at $580, reflecting a $50 increase from the Note Air 5C’s current price of $530. This initial bundle includes a folio case and spare stylus tips. A separate keyboard cover bundle is available for $657 during the launch period, down from the standard $690 price point.
