Apple is set to unveil its first dedicated live music venue in the United Kingdom, marking a significant expansion of its presence in the music industry. The new space, named Apple Music Hall, will operate with a 600-person capacity and is designed to host a variety of events, including live performances, recording sessions, and video broadcasts.
Located directly beneath Apple’s European headquarters at the historic Battersea Power Station in London, the venue is scheduled to open its doors on September 28th. The site is culturally significant, notably recognized for its appearance on the cover of Pink Floyd’s iconic album “Animals.” As of now, Apple has not announced which artist or event will headline the opening night.
Highlighting the company’s long-standing commitment to audio, Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and International Operations, emphasized the brand’s historical connection to the industry. “Apple’s deep love for music dates all the way back to the very beginning, from the launch of the iPod to the long-running iTunes Music Festival to the debut of Apple Music,” Schusser stated.
