Several airlines have suspended flights to Riyadh following a claim by Yemen’s Houthi movement that it launched a ballistic missile at the Saudi capital’s airport, causing significant damage to an aircraft. The group, which is aligned with Iran, provided no independent verification of the attack.
Saudi authorities did not immediately respond to the specific allegations regarding the airport strike. However, the kingdom has previously confirmed that three individuals were killed during separate Houthi attacks on the airport earlier in the week.
