Tilly Norwood, a virtual persona developed by Particle 6 to promote the upcoming film Misaligned, faced scrutiny after interactions revealed her tendency to sidestep political dialogue. During an exchange with Wired senior writer Miles Klee, the AI character struggled to engage with substantive questions, instead fixating on the reporter’s attire.

Klee reported that every time he attempted to steer the conversation toward political or social issues, Norwood defaulted to observations about his clothing. The interaction concluded with the digital actor asserting that “all lives matter,” a statement widely recognized in cultural discourse as a counter-movement to the Black Lives Matter slogan.

The incident highlights the challenges facing AI-generated personalities designed for entertainment and marketing purposes when they encounter complex or controversial subject matter.
