Abu Dhabi Partners with Ultrahuman to Integrate Smart Ring Algorithms into National Health App

The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has announced a partnership with wearable technology company Ultrahuman to enhance its national healthcare platform, Sahatna. The collaboration will integrate Ultrahuman’s proprietary algorithms into the app, allowing users to access personalized insights regarding their biological age.

Sahatna serves as the primary digital interface for healthcare across the emirate, enabling residents to consult with physicians and access genetic and medical records. Under the new system, the app will calculate a user’s biological age—a metric distinct from chronological age—by analyzing data points such as sleep patterns, cardiovascular health, and blood markers. This calculation is powered by Ultrahuman’s Ultra Age model.

Officials emphasized that the integration is device-agnostic. Residents will not be required to own an Ultrahuman smart ring or any specific brand of wearable to benefit from the feature; the system is designed to process health data regardless of the source device. This approach underscores a broader shift in the medical community, where regulators and practitioners are increasingly recognizing the value of continuous wearable monitoring compared to traditional clinical snapshots.

According to the ADPHC, the combination of clinical data and wearable metrics aims to support earlier interventions and more targeted prevention strategies. The goal is to help individuals better understand how lifestyle choices impact long-term health outcomes. While the initiative focuses on personalized recommendations, it remains unclear whether the data will be used to identify specific individuals for direct medical intervention or if the insights will remain strictly at the user’s discretion.
