At least 17 individuals lost their lives and 15 others were injured during a shooting incident at a tavern in South Africa’s Gauteng province, according to local authorities.
The South African Police Service reported early Sunday that emergency medical personnel confirmed all 17 victims died at the scene located in the Wedela township, situated southwest of Johannesburg. Investigators have not yet identified a motive for the attack.
