SpaceXAI has introduced the early public beta of Grok Bot, an autonomous agent platform designed to act as a digital work teammate. Capable of signing into third-party services such as Gmail, LinkedIn, and Salesforce, the bot can execute complex actions on behalf of users, including filling out forms, responding on social media, and sending emails.
The release has generated some confusion due to its title, which is frequently conflated with SpaceXAI’s existing conversational Grok chatbots or tagged indiscriminately in X posts. However, Grok Bot serves a distinct function. While standard Grok operates as a prompt-response assistant and Grok Build serves as a terminal-based coding agent, Grok Bot is positioned as a general-purpose digital assistant. Users assign it a task, and it operates independently within their applications, returning results or requesting human approval upon completion.
Originally developed under the codename Sand by Cursor and utilizing SpaceXAI compute resources, the bot is designed to be a singular product within a user’s account framework. Subscribers can create multiple bots that share a cloud computer, coordinate with one another, and continue working even when the user is offline. SpaceXAI emphasizes that as an early beta product, the platform is not yet polished, and features or reliability may shift as feedback is gathered.
Access to Grok Bot is restricted to paying subscribers of specific tiers. Eligible users include those with SuperGrok Plus or SuperGrok Heavy plans, as well as Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra, Cursor Teams Standard, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers. The application is available for download on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android via the official Grok Bot page.
Due to the bot’s ability to access sensitive inboxes, browser tools, and work accounts, SpaceXAI advises caution during the initial trial. Users are encouraged to start with low-risk assignments, such as summarizing documents or organizing research notes, while keeping human approval enabled for actions that could alter records, send messages, or expose private data like screen recordings.
According to SpaceXAI, the bots learn by observing user workflows, retaining routines to improve future performance. Despite the automation appeal, the company notes that users should expect potential bugs, login issues, and evolving plan restrictions inherent to a beta release.
