Professor: Celebrity Political Neutrality Is No Longer an Option

François Picard welcomed Ellis Cashmore, a sociologist, professor, and author of “Celebrity Culture,” to discuss how the intersection of fame and governance has shifted. Cashmore contends that contemporary celebrity culture has fundamentally transformed the relationship between entertainment and political engagement.
