Canon has introduced the second iteration of its EOS R8 camera, offering a new retro-inspired aesthetic and adding in-body image stabilization. This key feature was notably absent from the original model launched in 2023, which was positioned as a more affordable and compact full-frame option compared to the Canon R6 Mark II.
Despite the addition of stabilization technology, the EOS R8 Mark II remains relatively lightweight at approximately 1.2 pounds. It is still lighter and less expensive than the recently released EOS R6 Mark III.
The camera is scheduled to hit the market in late October with a price tag of $1,899.
