The semi-final pairings for the Premier Sports Cup have been confirmed, setting up a meeting between Rangers and Aberdeen alongside an Edinburgh derby between Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian.
Both matches are scheduled to take place at Hampden Park during the weekend of October 31 to November 1.
Rangers secured their place in the final four following a dominant victory over Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday. This campaign marks their return to the last four since claiming the trophy in the 2023-24 season, where they defeated Aberdeen 1-0 in the final.
In the other quarter-final results that determined the draw, Hibernian recorded a 3-0 win over League 1 side Ross County, while Hearts overcame Stenhousemuir by the same margin. Aberdeen advanced after defeating Kilmarnock on penalties.
The upcoming clash between Hearts and Hibernian follows a recent encounter earlier in the season, during which Hearts emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline at Easter Road in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers were brutal against Celtic. Facing Aberdeen now feels like a step back compared to their dominant run earlier.
That Edinburgh derby always brings the intensity. Can’t wait to see Hearts settle the score with Hibs at Hampden.
