Among those returning is engineer Jamal Mubarak, who fled Sudan as the conflict escalated. He noted that securing employment in Uganda proved difficult, prompting his decision to go back home. Mubarak expressed a strong motivation to contribute to his nation’s recovery, stating his intention to help construct buildings for Sudan’s future.
The repatriation effort highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Sudanese refugees abroad and the desire of some to return and participate in rebuilding efforts despite the continued instability in their homeland.
