Joe Rindl, a journalist for BBC Sport, has announced the launch of a suite of daily football quizzes designed to test readers’ knowledge across several formats. The latest addition to the platform invites users to guess the identity of a specific footballer by making as few attempts as possible.
In the “Who Am I?” segment, participants receive a new clue after each incorrect guess. Scoring is based on efficiency, with higher points awarded to those who solve the puzzle using fewer clues than others.
Following the main guessing game, users are encouraged to continue with two additional challenges. The “Five in Five” quiz requires participants to provide five correct answers within a strict five-minute time limit. Meanwhile, the “Brainteaser” offers a significantly more difficult question, allowing users five lives before the solution is revealed.
The BBC Sport platform also directs football fans to dedicated archives where they can access previous iterations of these puzzles, alongside specialized quizzes covering topics such as Premier League clubs and England women’s international caps. Additional interactive content and video shorts featuring commentary from figures like Chris Sutton and Mikel Arteta are available on the broader sports section.
