Mohamed Salah Sets Super Lig Record with 10 Goal Contributions in Seven Games

Mohamed Salah has rewritten the record books in Turkish club football, becoming the first player to register 10 goal contributions during his initial seven matches for Trabzonspor in the Super Lig. The Egyptian star provided one assist in a dominant 3-0 victory over Samsunspor on Saturday, bringing his season tally to seven goals and three assists across just seven appearances.

The 34-year-old completed a surprise move from Liverpool in August, signing a two-year deal after leaving the English Premier League side as a free agent. Upon arriving in Istanbul, he was welcomed by large crowds of supporters.

Salah made his competitive debut for the club off the bench in a 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa in the season opener. He broke out offensively a month later, scoring a hat-trick and adding an assist in a 4-0 thrashing of defending champions Galatasaray, handing the Istanbul giants their first loss of the campaign.

Trabzonspor, a seven-time Turkish champion, finished third in last season’s league standings. Salah’s prolific start has already set a new benchmark for any player in the Super Lig history.
