Three companions of Nolan Wells, a Mississippi teenager who died in July following a boating incident, have filed a defamation lawsuit against NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens.
The legal action stems from a video posted by Owens on Instagram on September 26. In the content, Owens implied that Wells’s friends—identified in the suit as Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, and Morgan Seymour—had removed evidence from the deceased teen’s mobile device after his death.
The three men have denied these allegations in their lawsuit.
