Nigel Farage Concedes Undercover Donations Report Looks Bad for Reform UK

Nigel Farage has acknowledged that an undercover report regarding potential breaches of electoral laws concerning foreign donations creates difficult imagery for Reform UK. The scrutiny follows revelations that senior party aides appeared to discuss strategies to circumvent regulations on foreign funding.

In a conversation with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, the Reform UK leader described the remarks made by James Orr and Dan Jukes as “injudicious at best.” Farage conceded that the visual evidence from the undercover filming presents a challenging narrative for the party.

“This looks bad, as does the sale of peerages, as does government contracts for donations,” Farage stated. He further noted that his party is not the first political entity to face controversy surrounding donation practices.
