Former Stars and Stripes Publisher Vows to Continue Pentagon Lawsuit Despite Court Setback

Max Lederer, the former publisher of the Stars and Stripes, announced on Saturday that he and two other former employees will press forward with their legal battle against the Pentagon. The decision comes after a federal judge rejected their emergency request earlier this week.

Lederer, along with the newspaper’s former editor-in-chief Erik Slavin and reporter Lara Korte, was terminated by the Pentagon last month. The trio filed the lawsuit challenging their dismissals, but their immediate bid for relief was denied by the court.

Despite the setback, Lederer confirmed that the plaintiffs intend to continue with the case, signaling that the legal proceedings will not end with the recent ruling.
