The ruling addresses the long legal battle over the artwork, titled Portrait of a Lady, created by the Italian Baroque painter Giuseppe Ghislandi.<\/p>\n<p>The painting remained missing for eight decades after its confiscation in 1940. It resurfaced only recently when it was photographed in 2025 hanging in the private residence of a senior Nazi officer&#8217;s daughter.
