iRobot, the pioneer of robot vacuums, introduced a novel concept device at the IFA technology exhibition in Berlin on Tuesday. Dubbed the Roomba Duo, the system integrates two distinct cleaning units into a single autonomous solution.<\/p>\n
The primary unit functions as a robust floor washer, handling sweeping and mopping across expansive areas. Accompanying it is a slimmer, secondary robot that can mechanically lower itself to navigate confined zones that the larger unit cannot reach, such as deep under furniture or within corners.<\/p>\n
The main unit also serves as an autonomous mobile dock, equipped with onboard reservoirs for both clean and dirty water, as well as a dust bag.
