The global population of billionaires reached an all-time high of 3,795 individuals in 2025, fueled by the rapid expansion of the artificial intelligence sector, according to a new report from wealth intelligence firm Altrata.<\/p>\n
The headcount represents an 8.2% increase, marking the largest annual jump in five years.\u4e0e\u6b64\u540c\u65f6, the combined net worth of this group surged 12.8% to a record $15.1 trillion.<\/p>\n
Altrata analyzed data from 150 publicly listed companies to determine key contributors to billionaire wealth. The firm found that companies investing at least $30 million in AI over the past five years outperformed their non-investing peers by 23% in market capitalization growth between 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
Maya Imberg, Altrata\u2019s head of thought leadership and analytics, noted that Wall Street\u2019s intense focus on AI has significantly widened the wealth gap within the ultra-high-net-worth community.<\/p>\n
The report highlighted the emergence of 29 “superbillionaires”\u2014individuals with net worths exceeding $50 billion. This elite group holds a combined $4.1 trillion, accounting for 27% of all billionaire wealth.
