In Spain, Huelva registered a staggering 45.7C on Thursday, marking the hottest day of 2026 in the region. Heatwaves are also anticipated to persist in parts of France, with the Ardeche region potentially touching 40C in the coming days.<\/p>\n
For the UK, the weather pattern begins with an area of low pressure approaching north-west Scotland. This will bring heavy rain to the far north and showers further south during the morning, accompanied by blustery winds with gusts reaching 40-45mph in western Scotland.<\/p>\n
However, as the wind shifts to a southerly direction, it will draw in the warmth from the continent. By afternoon, sunshine is expected to develop across England, Wales, and eastern Scotland, allowing temperatures to rise significantly.<\/p>\n
