The first of two Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies took place Wednesday evening at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, honoring technical and artistic achievements in television. Leading into Emmy week, HBO\u2019s medical drama \u201cThe Pitt\u201d topped the nomination list with 25 bids, including Outstanding Drama Series and 13 acting nominations for star Noah Wyle. The show\u2019s total nearly doubled its 13 nominations from the previous year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Pitt\u201d was closely trailed by HBO Max\u2019s \u201cHacks,\u201d which received 24 nominations for its fifth season, setting a record for the most nods ever earned by a comedy series. Jean Smart, the show\u2019s star, is now positioned to secure her fifth Emmy for \u201cHacks\u201d and her eighth overall, potentially tying the record for the most Emmy acting wins in history.<\/p>\n
Among the previously announced juried awards, Adult Swim\u2019s \u201cGenndy Tartakovsky\u2019s Primal\u201d received two Emmys for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation. NBC\u2019s \u201cThe Traitors\u201d and Fox\u2019s \u201cThe Masked Singer\u201d were also honored with awards for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming.<\/p>\n
A star-studded lineup of presenters appeared on the first night, including Nyesha Arrington, Brittany Broski, Johnny \u201cBananas\u201d Devenanzio, Sean Evans, R\u2019Bonney Gabriel, Bill Glass, Colin Hanks, Brianna LaPaglia, Ariana Madix, Heather McMahan, Julianne Hough, Julie Chen Moonves, Kareem Rahma, Lisa Rinna, Stassi Schroeder, Wanda Sykes, Chris \u201cCT\u201d Tamburello, Jet Tila, Whitney Way Thore, and West Wilson.<\/p>\n
