Smart ring manufacturer Circular revealed its upcoming Ring 3 series on Thursday, introducing two distinct models: the Ring 3 Pro and the Ring 3 Slim. Both devices will include integrated NFC chips for contactless payments and provide on-finger vibration alerts for alarms, reminders, and breathing exercises.<\/p>\n
The Ring 3 Pro offers a slimmer profile than its predecessor while expanding its health capabilities. It includes FDA-cleared ECG functionality for atrial fibrillation detection, blood pressure trend tracking, glucose monitoring, advanced sleep analysis, and comprehensive biometric tracking. Battery life has also been extended to up to 12 days, an increase from the seven days offered by the previous model.<\/p>\n
Designed for users seeking a more compact option, the Ring 3 Slim is thinner and lighter than the Pro version. It focuses on essential wellness metrics, including sleep tracking, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen levels (SpO\u2082), skin temperature, and daily activity. The Slim model supports up to 10 days of battery life on a single charge.<\/p>\n
CEO Amaury Kosman emphasized that the new lineup addresses varying consumer needs. “We understand that not everyone wants every health feature,” Kosman said in a statement shared with TechCrunch. “Many people simply want a beautifully designed, fashionable smart ring that delivers essential wellness insights and effortless contactless payments. The launch comes during a period of intensified competition in the smart ring sector, following recent releases from rivals such as Oura\u2019s Ring 5 and RingConn\u2019s Gen 3.
