Annual profits at the UK division of the US-owned micro-mobility company Lime have more than doubled, according to newly filed accounts, as demand for shared e-bikes and electric scooters continues to rise across England.
Lime Technologies, the firm’s British subsidiary, reported that its average number of monthly users jumped by 31% to approximately 700,000. The surge in ridership coincided with a significant expansion of the company’s fleet, which grew by more than 4,500 vehicles to reach a total of nearly 38,000 e-bikes and scooters.
The financial data, submitted to Companies House, also highlighted a substantial increase in sales, which rose by a third over the period. The figures underscore the growing prevalence of Lime’s services on English roads, despite ongoing public debate regarding the use of shared micromobility devices.
