Hibernian FC have named Marink Reedijk as their new head coach following the departure of David Gray, who was dismissed just eight days prior after a disappointing start to the Scottish Premiership season.
Reedijk, a 35-year-old Dutchman, joins from Belgian Pro League side Beveren, where he guided the club to promotion last season via an undefeated campaign. He will be supported by assistant coach Rogier Molhoek at Easter Road.
The former Ajax and West Bromwich Albion academy coach brings a history of attacking play and a focus on strong team culture. Reedijk described himself as “honored” to take the role, citing the club’s ambition and clear strategic direction as key factors in his decision to move to Scotland.
“I want us to be an assertive team. A team that gives everything, plays with purpose and gives our supporters something to really get behind,” Reedijk said.
His previous senior managerial experience includes stints at KSV Roeselare, Vitesse, and RSCA Futures.
