Disney is implementing another round of price increases across its streaming platforms, with ad-free Disney+ rising to $21.50 per month, according to a Bloomberg report. This represents a 13 percent hike and marks the fourth increase for the company’s streaming services in as many years.
The bundled ad-free package, which combines Disney+ and Hulu, will also see a $2 increase, bringing the monthly cost to $22. While more expensive than before, this bundle remains roughly half the price of subscribing to each service individually. Meanwhile, ad-supported plans for both Disney+ and Hulu will rise to $12.50 per month from their previous $12 rate. However, the ad-supported bundle for both services will remain unchanged at $13 monthly.
The new pricing structure takes effect immediately for new customers. Engadget has contacted Disney for additional details regarding the increase.
This latest adjustment follows a pattern of annual inflation affecting the streaming tier. Alongside these rising costs, Disney+ has recently faced criticism for cutting content, including the cancellation of the Marvel series “Daredevil: Born Again” after its third season, scheduled for release in 2027.
