Brian Halligan, co-founder of HubSpot and partner at Sequoia, will address the changing responsibilities of a CEO. His session focuses on how leaders can adapt through various stages of company growth and avoid common pitfalls that hinder long-term success.
AI strategy will be a central theme, with Lior Div, co-founder and CEO of 7AI, presenting on building AI-native companies. Div will examine how shifting from viewing AI as a feature to a foundational element transforms team structure, product development, and go-to-market strategies.
Vineet Edupuganti, CEO and co-founder of Cogent Security, will share insights from his company’s $11 million funding round. His session, titled “Not Every Dollar Is Equal,” will guide founders on evaluating investors and constructing a cap table that prioritizes partnership over mere valuation.
Additional speakers include Tina Tosukhowong, investment director at TDK Ventures, who will introduce the firm’s “King of the Hill” framework for identifying category-defining companies. Melissa Taunton, a partner at NEA, will discuss the impact of early hiring decisions on company culture and execution, while Kent Bennett from Bessemer Venture Partners will cover strategies for achieving product-market fit before scaling.
The event also highlights regional advantages with Chase Garbarino, CEO and co-founder of HqO. Having raised $200 million and scaled to over 30 countries without leaving Boston, Garbarino will discuss the specific benefits and drawbacks of building a company outside traditional hubs like Silicon Valley.
