The newest chapter in Ryan Murphy’s true-crime anthology series, “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,” has claimed the top spot on Netflix’s Top 10 after accumulating 12.1 million views within its first four days of release.
This performance aligns closely with the opening weekends of the franchise’s two most recent entries. “The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” drew 12.3 million views upon its 2024 premiere, while “The Ed Gein Story” recorded 12.2 million views in 2025. The series premiere, “The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” launched in 2022 remains the benchmark for the collection. Although Netflix did not track viewership by view counts at that time, the show garnered 196.2 million hours watched, equivalent to approximately 22.3 million views over a four-day span. It currently stands as Netflix’s seventh most-watched English-language television series in history.
According to Netflix, the entire “Monster” franchise has now generated nearly 170 million views across all seasons combined.
