The eagerly awaited music history podcast No Dogs in Space has officially returned for its fourth season, titled Punk 2.0. Hosts Carolina Hidalgo and Marcus Parks announced the revival after a hiatus of more than two years, with the first episode dropping this week.
The premiere introduces a two-part deep dive into the New York Dolls, a band personally significant to both hosts. For native Staten Islander David Johansen, the frontman of the iconic group, the location holds special meaning as a local son.
According to the creators, the decision to pivot toward punk rock stems from a desire to return to basics. Hidalgo and Parks felt that the genre represents the area where their passion and expertise are most pronounced, making it the ideal foundation for the show’s next chapter.
