Moore Criticizes Trump’s Press Ban as Constitutionally Flawed

Maryland Governor Wes Moore has issued a sharp rebuke of President Trump’s recent decision to ban reporters from CNN, Politico, and MS NOW from covering White House events, describing the action as a disregard for constitutional principles.

Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union” program with host Dana Bash, the Democratic governor suggested that the president appears to have a fundamental issue with the legal constraints placed upon his office. Moore characterized Trump’s approach to the Constitution as if it were merely a “suggestion box” rather than a binding framework.

The controversy centers on the exclusion of journalists from these specific outlets from the press pool, a move that has drawn criticism regarding press freedoms and government transparency.
