UN Body Finds Evidence of US War Crimes in Iran, Iranian Crimes Against Humanity

A United Nations fact-finding mission released its findings on Thursday, stating there are reasonable grounds to believe the United States was responsible for two military strikes targeting a school and a sports facility in Iran this past February. The mission classified these actions as war crimes.

In addition to the allegations against the US, the report determined that Iranian authorities committed crimes against humanity during their lethal suppression of anti-government protests.

France 24’s Kethevane Gorjestani examines the details of the report.

  1. Will anything actually be done about this? History shows these reports often gather dust while governments shrug it off.

  2. Finally, some accountability. It is about time international law applied equally regardless of which nation commits the acts.
