According to multiple reports, Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to campaign for Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed during an event next week. The Associated Press confirmed that Harris will appear alongside El-Sayed for a roundtable discussion focused on Black maternal health.
The event is set to take place on Tuesday. El-Sayed, a physician, previously led the health departments in both Detroit and Wayne County. The appearance marks another stop on Harris’s recent campaign tour supporting Democratic candidates in key swing states.
