A Paris court has awarded Kim Kardashian €1 ($1.08) in compensation for being the victim of an armed robbery in the French capital in 2016, according to a lawyer involved in the case. The sum corresponds to the compensation she had requested.
Last year, the court found eight people guilty for their roles in the incident, which Kardashian described as “the most terrifying experience of my life.” Kardashian and stylist Simone Harouche, who was present during the robbery, expressed gratitude to the French justice system in a joint statement.
It’s interesting that she specifically requested only one euro. That must have been a deliberate statement about accountability.
