President Donald Trump issued a sharp critique of the Supreme Court on Tuesday after the high court blocked a contentious United States Postal Service regulation regarding mail-in voting for the upcoming midterm elections.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump characterized the ruling as a significant defeat for his party and the nation. He argued that the decision removes a safeguard against electoral fraud, claiming it facilitates cheating by Democrats, whom he referred to as the “Radical Left Dumocrats,” through the mail-in ballot system.
“It is a big loss for Republicans, and America itself, and makes cheating by the Radical Left ‘Dumocrats,’ on Mail-In Ballots, a much easier thing to do,” Trump wrote.
The legal challenge centers on a new USPS rule that was intended to be implemented for the November elections. The Supreme Court’s intervention prevents the regulation from taking effect, a move that has drawn immediate rebuke from the president.
