The company emphasized that its devices do not engage in continuous recording or transmission of conversations. Furthermore, LG clarified that wake-word detection mechanisms are handled entirely on-device.

Critics point out that the term “continuously” is central to the company’s defense, as research by Gamers Nexus appeared to demonstrate that an LG TV retained extensive logs, challenging the manufacturer’s characterization of its data practices.
