The U.S. Supreme Court has intervened to block a Missouri federal judge’s ruling, effectively preventing state lawmakers from utilizing a newly drawn congressional map in the November midterm elections.
The rejected map was designed to favor Republican candidates and was projected to secure the party an additional seat in the U.S. Congress. By halting the use of this map, the Supreme Court has maintained the status quo regarding electoral boundaries for the upcoming vote.
