As the United States marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on Friday, a prominent leader among victims’ families expressed frustration over the prolonged timeline for holding Saudi Arabia accountable for alleged support provided to the terrorists.
Terry Strada, national chair of 9/11 Families United, stated that the delay in securing progress through the court system has felt like “several lifetimes.” Despite the extended wait, Strada, whose husband perished in the attacks, maintained that she remains hopeful for justice as the lawsuit alleging Saudi backing for the hijackers moves toward trial.
I wasn’t aware the lawsuit was actually reaching trial stage. That’s surprising news given all the previous procedural delays.
