Trump Phone T1 Price Increases to $749 Following Overnight Website Update

Prospective buyers who did not secure a Trump Phone during its initial release are now facing a steeper price tag. The device, known as the T1, has seen its cost rise from $499 to $749, marking a $250 increase. Despite the change in price, the hardware specifications of the phone remain unchanged.

Trump Mobile did not issue a formal announcement regarding the adjustment. Instead, the company quietly modified its website overnight to reflect the new cost. However, industry observers noted that this escalation was anticipated, particularly considering the phone’s substantial internal memory and processing power, which include 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

Earlier in the year, executives from Trump Mobile described the initial $499 price point as an introductory offer. Several months later, the company amended its website to label the cost a “promotional price,” signaling that the introductory rate was temporary. With the latest update, that specific wording has been removed, leaving the device at its current higher price point.

  1. Removing ‘promotional price’ wording overnight is shady. I expected this, but still feels like a rip-off to casual buyers.

  2. Surprised the specs haven’t changed despite the massive price hike. Feels like a classic introductory offer trap.
