Consumers are facing steeper costs for new devices this year, a trend solidified by Apple’s latest event. The iPhone 18 Pro is priced at $1,199, while the Pro Max starts at $1,299, representing a $100 increase over previous models. Even buyers looking to purchase older iPhone generations will not escape the surge, as Apple has applied a uniform $100 price hike across its entire lineup.
This pricing strategy reflects a broader industry shift. Google and Samsung adopted similar increments recently. Google’s Pixel 11 launches at $899, up from the $799 starting point of the Pixel 10. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra was introduced at $2,099.
