Google announced on Wednesday that it will invest 13 billion euros, approximately $15.1 billion, into artificial intelligence infrastructure across Finland. The move represents the technology giant’s most significant financial commitment to the European region to date.
Finland has increasingly become a focal point for data center development amid the rapid expansion of the AI sector. Hyperscalers and infrastructure developers are drawn to the Nordic nation due to its availability of land and reliable power supplies, resources that remain in scarce supply across much of the rest of Europe.
