Kyiv — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has criticized the international community for offering “too little response” to recent Russian bombardments, following overnight strikes that resulted in two fatalities.
Speaking to allies, Zelenskyy urged for more decisive action to support Ukraine amid the escalating violence.
Meanwhile, political tensions are rising in Germany ahead of the upcoming federal election. Alice Weidel, a leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, addressed the Bundestag on Tuesday, asserting that the weekend’s regional election results in Saxony-Anhalt demonstrated that voters demand a significant shift in policy.
Weidel argued that the current ruling coalition should be disbanded and directed sharp criticism at the government’s handling of migration, its stance on energy, and what she described as “war propaganda” against Russia.
The AfD leader also called for the restoration of natural gas deliveries through the Nord Stream pipeline, reversing course from the previous administration’s policies.
